The following is an example of how a Scatter Rally should unfold. This is based on the Bialitt Test Rally held on the 11 October 2007.

  • You decide to enter a scheduled Scatter Rally.
  • The day before the rally you download the Scatter Rally Task List.

  • Study the task list carefully.
  • Find all the specific task locations on a map, and the finish point.

  • Plan a route from your start point, through all the task locations, ending at the designated finish point. In this example I was driving south on the 109 and all tasks were in order.

  • Decide on the time you will start the rally so that you finish as close to the finish time as possible.
  • Get a good nights sleep.

  • Before starting off, read through the task list again and familiarize yourself with your planned route.
  • Start working through all the questions in the task list.

    1. Photograph your car from the front-right (passenger side).

    2. Write down the mileage from your odometer before you start driving.______________

    3. Photograph a parking sign. (Parkering skylt)

Don't forget, if you get your car in the photo for General Tasks you will get bonus points.

    4. Photograph a wind generator. (Vindkraftverk)

Also, General Tasks can be completed at any time after you start and before your finish, there is no strict order.

    5. Write down the mileage from your odometer at the first Specific Task you stop at. ______________

    65089

    6. Photograph your car at Asks Kyrka, in Ask on 109 (near 108).

    7. Photograph your car at the Loppis on 108 between Ask and Bialitt.

    8. Photograph your car at Torrlösa Kyrka. Stop on north side.

    9. Write down the mileage from your odometer. ______________

    65106

    10. Photograph your car in the parking area.

  • Once you have completed all the tasks, and are at the finish point, hand in your photos/notes for scoring.
  • Relax and enjoy the company of the other participants, and of course a coffee or two. All Scatter Rallies will finish at a place where refreshments are available.
